The tour is for the whole day departing between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. prior coordination to pick you up at your hotel. First we will visit the HOSPICIO ALTO VIEWPOINT, where we will make a stop and our guide will give you a brief historical review of Iquique, a privileged view of the port and the Dunes of Cerro Dragon, accompany this story which may be reflected in Photographs.
We will visit CERRO ISLA and see on its slopes land spaces where the ancients made their geoglyphs. Continuing along the road, we will visit the EX – SALITRERAS SANTA LAURA and HUMBERSTONE (MUSEUM), an old village now uninhabited, where we can observe the vestiges of an era of wealth.
Going into the Reserve of the Pampa del Tamarugal we will visit the town of LA TIRANA, a traditional place known for the festivity of religious character in honor of the Virgin of Carmen and we will know her Church. We will also visit the village of MATILLA, an old and prosperous oasis, here will be the reception for lunch, a rustic place adapted to an Andean Tambo where an Aymara resident will wait for us to tell us a little about their ancestors, customs, delight us with typical music of the area and exciting rituals that will fill your soul. The preparation of the lunch is done with firewood from the lemon tree, which will give it a characteristic and very pleasant flavor.
